Theme: Hygge (pronounced “HUE-gah”)
In Danish hygge means creating a warm atmosphere and enjoying the good things in life, life's simple pleasures. Friends. Family. Graciousness.
Hors d'oeuvres will be served. Held in the Reception Space
Pass to The Right is an event where you hand off your watercolor painting to the person who sits next to you on your right hand side. You receive your neighbors painting from your left and add to his/her watercolor while someone else is working on yours. The rotation is complete when you receive your painting back inspired by your first markings. You’ll have time to complete the work before sharing the collaborative masterpieces.
The theme for Pass to The Right is “hygge”; enjoying life's simple pleasures. Beginners and advanced watercolorists are encouraged to participate. Bring your own watercolor supplies including paper of any size. Participants can arrive to the event with a sketch already on your paper, but this is not necessary, it does not make a difference if the artist begins the watercolor intuitively or from a detailed drawing. Participant’s inspiration is encouraged by the theme, hygge, and relating to how the artwork develops.
To register call Kathy Gaye Shiroki at 716-878-3549 or email shirokkg@buffalostate.edu or download the registration form on the International Center for Watercolor website. Families and youth 12 and older are encouraged to participate.
